There’s no doubt about it, we LOVE fall and everything that comes with it. Crisp temperatures, amazing seasonal foods (pumpkin spice and apple pies anyone?), and of course the beauty of the natural color palette of autumn are just a few of the details that make us giddy to be welcoming fall in just a few short weeks. The beauty of Jacqueline and Anthony’s wedding is exactly what we all needed to spice up our week and it’s all captured perfectly by Ricky Restiano Photography.
Guests were invited to their October 7, 2012 wedding with custom invitations designed by RSVP to Me. The champagne metallic portrait pocket card included the invitation mounted on ecru linen matte paper with the enclosure cards placed in the back pocket. “We received so many compliments on how beautiful and organized our invitations were. Kelly was great to work with, and once I explained what I wanted, she showed me some samples and we went from there.”
Jacqueline carried a bouquet of ivory roses and white Stephanotis, hand tied with ivory satin ribbon and embellished with crystals throughout.
During the religious ceremony, the couple participated in a unity candle and memorial candle that acknowledged their six deceased grandparents.
Jimmy Dee Music Productions got the party started and had the dance floor packed the entire night. Their emcee for the evening, Vinny, played a variety of music, including oldies, Motown, and disco, as well as ‘80s rock and ‘90s pop.
The Proposal: Anthony proposed unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. I was home cooking dinner and Anthony came in from working late. I was calling to him to tell him dinner was ready and when he didn’t answer, I walked into our bedroom and he was down on one knee holding out a ring. He asked me to marry him and I was speechless. I knew Anthony was the one after dating for 3 months. We just seemed to get along so well and always had something to talk about. He is my rock and is always there to support me and never lets me doubt myself.
Bride’s favorite memory of the day: My favorite memory was during our first look. I walked up to Anthony on the pier in Piermont and tapped him on his left shoulder and when he turned around and saw me for the first time in my wedding gown, his face was priceless. He looked so happy and told me how gorgeous I looked. I will never forget that moment.
Groom’s favorite memory of the day: My most memorable moment was when the doors in the ceremony room opened and I saw Jackie walking down the aisle towards me. That was it for me. Jacqueline looked stunning walking down the aisle. She had this huge smile on her face and looked so happy. I will never forget that.
What was the most exciting part of planning your wedding? The most exciting part for me was also the part I wasn’t looking forward to; going gown shopping with my Mom and sister in law and bridesmaid dress shopping with my bridal party. Being that I was a bridesmaid 10 times, it was a nice change to be the bride for once. I know my Mother dreamed of my wedding day forever so it was exciting to have her with me and see her so happy. I saw so many gowns in magazines, but none that I loved so I was dreading trying on dresses not knowing what I wanted.
Do you have any advice for couples that are planning their wedding? To plan it how you want. Everyone will give you advice and tell you their opinions, but it’s YOUR day so do what makes you happy.
What are you currently or looking forward to as a couple? We are looking forward to starting a family and creating new memories together.
