Christina and Kevin originally planned on capturing their engagement session where they first met at the Jersey Shore, but due to Hurricane Sandy, the two had to find a new location. Princeton, New Jersey is a gorgeous area. Not only is it home to Ivy League Princeton University and Palmer Square (a fabulous shopping area on Nassau Street), but there are also areas that boast private and serene landscapes along the Delaware and Raritan Canal. Brittany Ostrov Photography captured this duo perfectly as they took some time from planning their wedding to just be themselves. We love how natural these two are on camera and look forward to seeing their wedding photographs later this summer!

While you’re bundled up trying to stay warm during what we hope is our last snow storm of the season, we’re brightening your day with this lovely engagement session captured by Brittany Ostrov Photography. This E-session took place at Eagle Rock Reservation, a location with scenic acres of hills and streams, as well as the NYC skyline allowing for wonderful images with a little of two vibes. From the bride: “We met our freshman year at Columbia. We were talking within the first week of college and dating by the second month. So we’ve been together for about six and a half years. Jacob proposed March 12, 2012. He was visiting me in Brownsville, Texas for a week. After a day at the beach, we were relaxing around the swimming pool at my apartment complex when he started telling me how much he loved me. Then we started to talk about a song he had sent to me earlier in the year titled, “Love is Not a Fight” by Warren Barfield. In particular, he used a part of the lyrics to tell me that he would spend the rest of his life fighting for me and asked if I would spend the rest of my life fighting for him. With that he gave me my beautiful ring and we were engaged!”

Mandy (owner of La Sorella Bridal) and her fiancé Jake may have attended the same high school and had a lot of mutual friends, but it wasn’t until he friend requested her on Facebook that the two got together. From that day forward they got to know each other, began dating, and the rest was history. Mandy and Jake were talking about their future together on a Wednesday evening just before Jake proposed. “I wasn’t surprised we were getting engaged, but I was surprised at how natural he was and how blindsided I was,” Mandy shared. The couple is set to tie the knot on December 28, 2012 and recently ventured to Liberty State Park for their engagement session. Brittany Ostrov Photography captured every moment beautifully that pairs the “perfect combination of rustic charm with the NYC sklyline in the background.” Throughout their photos, you can truly catch a glimpse as to the love Mandy and Jake have for each other.

Kelly and Stephen are the epitome of a love-next-door fairy-tale. Growing up, they not only lived down the street from one another during their middle and high school years, but their parents were also great friends. After spending endless summers together (including trips to Yankee Stadium) Kelly and Stephen’s friendship evolved into romance. While the two are enjoying the road to their happily-ever-after, they took a moment to capture their engagement with the help of Jessica Lauren Photography. The chemistry that this couple shares is evident throughout each photograph taken. Kelly and Stephen’s e-session began at the intersection of where their streets meet, continued at the local fire department, and concluded at a quaint field that provided a stunning backdrop for rustic images. Thank you Jessica Urzua of Jessica Lauren Photography for sharing this beautiful engagement shoot with us! Alexis and Jason met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. A few months following their initial meeting, the two bumped into each other again, went on a few dates, and fell in love. Although Alexis was in West Virginia enrolled in a residency program for medical school, Jason took time off from work to visit her. “I came home from work one day to a huge vase filled with roses that were placed on my kitchen table. Jason was there holding our cat, who had a tiny box hanging from his collar,” reminisced Alexis. Within the box were two diamond earrings and as she was putting them on, Jason knelt down and proposed with a princess-cut engagement ring. The couple recently had their engagement session at South Street Seaport in New York City captured by Jessica Urzua of Jessica Lauren Photography. “Jessica was amazing to work with. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and directed us perfectly,” shared Alexis. The couple is set to marry on September 7, 2012 at Glen Island Harbour Club and is looking forward to working with Jessica Lauren Photography again.
