By Meghan Chalfant
Casinos, nonstop nightlife, and shows are just a few things that attract vacationers to Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon entering the city, flashing lights, fountains, and even roller coasters prove to guests that this city is a world of its own. For any couple seeking an exciting and versatile honeymoon, this city is a jewel for both the adventurous and laid-back.

About Las Vegas
Bordered by California and Arizona, Nevada is located 275 miles from Los Angeles, California, and is situated in the southwestern corner of Nevada. After this state was admitted to be part of the Union, it didn’t take long for the city to grow to new heights, with themed hotels and attractions that truly makes Las Vegas a wonderland. More than 37 million people visit the city every year, and who can blame them, with almost near-perfect weather and 320 days of sunshine. Although it can reach over 100 degrees in the summer months, the weather can be surprisingly cool between late October and early April. However, no matter what month you travel to Las Vegas, the humidity is relatively low.

Where to Stay
The glitz, glimmer, and glamour of Las Vegas may seem overwhelming, but you won’t be disappointed at any resort. Stay in the center of all of the action at a hotel right on the strip. Designed with a modern-Italian theme in mind, The Palazzo has suite-style rooms with marble-encrusted baths and Roman-style shades that are remote control. Shop in one of the 60 luxury boutiques on site, and then eat at any of the delectable restaurants, such as Carne Vino by Mario Batali or CUT by Wolfgang Puck. Top off your day by attending the Tony award-winning musical Jersey Boys in the recently built custom theater.

Within the grounds of The Venetian, you will find marble floors and gold furnishings à la the beautiful Italian city of Venice, all of which creates a European ambiance. Take a gondola ride through the canals in between shopping at chic boutiques. Enjoy dinner at any of the fine restaurants, such as Zeffirino’s, and be sure not to miss Phantom of the Opera.
You will feel right at home at New York-New York Hotel & Casino, which features a 300-foot Brooklyn Bridge, skyscrapers, the Empire State Building, a 150-foot Statue of Liberty, and even a Coney Island roller coaster. Inside take a stroll through Central Park or Times Square. Located in the base of Lady Liberty, be sure to visit the September 11 tribute. Remember, there are accommodations for every budget and personal style.
